Naira Under Buhari Regime Is One Of Africa's Most Useless Currencies – Jerry Gana

By Musa Mohammed From Nigeria  A former Minister of Information and former presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Prof Jerry Gana, has said that the Nigerian currency, Naira, under the Muhammadu Buhari administration, is one of the most useless currencies in the African continent.Gana added that Nigeria also has the highest number of “miserable people in Africa.” The SDP candidate stated these on Saturday at a retreat organised by the Kogi Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Renaissance Group in Abuja. Gana, also a PDP chieftain said most Nigerians, the majority of them youths, had become “jobless, frustrated and hopeless” as a result of the harsh economic policies of the current administration. The Nigeria Labour Congress condemns the murder of 22 travelers in Jos, Plateau State. In a statement issued to newsmen on Monday by the National President of the NLC Comrade Ayuba Wabba. “The travellers were commuting between Bauchi State and Akure in Ondo State”. “This incident further highlights the deteriorating security situation in our country. There is no gainsaying the fact that we are really living in dangerous times in Nigeria”. The NLC commiserate with the families of the victims of this heinous crime and pray for repose on the souls of the faithful departed. Comrade Wabba further stated that, “Whatever is the motivation for the barbaric and atrocious murder of these 22 innocent travellers is totally unacceptable and condemnable”.
